WiiU unveiled: Nintendoland Zelda Game

The WiiU was recently unveiled at E3, and there is already a crapload of games, including the new Nintendoland Zelda game.




Three people play, 2 as the swordsmen, and one as an archer using the WiiU gamepad.  It looks like the stages are a cloth version of Zelda.  And as for me, I can't wait to see a new Zelda game for the WiiU.

Hero's Shade

I think this guy's right about it.  We definitely need a darker Zelda game.  One where Link has to make a choice, both of them bad, is a good idea.  Or a part where you have save something in a certain amount of time, like Majora's Mask.  But in this one the results would be disastrous, and you couldn't start over.  You would have to continue playing with the result.

Lego Zelda Cusoo reaches 10,000 Subscribers

Zelda legos are just that much closer to being real.  The Lego Cusoo thing gained 10,000 subscribers, which means it will be reviewed by Lego.  So watch out for Zelda legos on store shelves!

Best Zelda Moments

While I've been playing Zelda I've had some really awesome moments.  Here are some of them:


Skyward Sword: Pulling the Goddess Sword from the Pedestal

Drawing the sword from the pedestal is always cool.  But Skyward Sword is different.  You actually get to make the motions to pull the sword out!  It's so AWESOME!!!!!  I think it's just as good as the original Master Sword one in Ocarina of Time.  You Ocarina of Time fans may hate me now, but I meant what I said, and I only said I think.

Watching Biggoron Stand Up

There's something about seeing Biggoron stand up that makes you feel REALLY small.  You can hear it all across Hyrule when he uses his eye drops!!

When Link Jumps off Something Huge

Link's swan dive is so majestic!!!!  I couldn't find any pics of him diving into water, but that's amazing too.  Even the child version dive is cool.  He just jumps off and falls in headfirst.  And the Twilight Princess dive is so streamlined!!  If you've seen the swan dive in the Skyward Sword trailer, you know that it's amazing!!

Beating Ganon (or Ganondorf)

When I beat Ganon, I just stopped.  I was like, "Dude, I just beat Ganon."  Then I just started jumping around and yelling.  It's just one of those amazing moments that makes you stop.  Then you start critizing the battle and preparing for the next one.

Why Link is so Awesome

You may be reading this blog, but you might also be thinking,"Why is Link so cool?"  So I'm going to tell you:

His Name
His name just EXUDES AWESOMENESS!!!  I don't know of anyone else named Link.

His Clothes

Link wears the most stylish clothes ever!  Almost everyone has a Link hat these days.  And besides looking cool, his clothes are useful, like the Goron or Zora Tunic.   His clothes are more iconic than Mario, who people usually think of when someone says Nintendo.  It's also why the ladies are attracted to him.



Athletic Ability

Link is the only character I know who can run across a country on foot and still have enough stamina to fight enemies, push blocks, swim a stream, and do backflips.  He's strong, he's fast, he's agile, he's got it all.  He can carry all those huge weapons and not break a sweat!

His Weapons

Everyone agrees that Link has some awesome weapons!  He's got hammers, swords, boomerangs, bombs, bows, boots, bottles, slingshots, shields, and so much more!!!  And he can carry them all!!  He is also proficient in all of them!!  I think he has more weapons than Batman, even though Batman is a boss!!!

New Easy Boss

I've been playing my Zelda games and I found a new boss that was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO easy!  So here he is:

Gleerok

Pretty much all you do is shoot his back with the Cane of Pacci, then run over his head and neck to the crystal on his back.  You then slash it until he begins to rear up.  You also have to avoid his fire breath.

Zelda Rumor

I've heard that their may be a Metroid-Zelda team up.  It's probably gonna be in the style of the latest Metroid.  That's what I've heard.

Zelda Hardest Bosses

I've played a lot of Zelda, and I've come across some really hard bosses.  As you should know if you've read my blog, Scaldera is one of them, and I will talk about him.  So here we go:

Blaaz, Master of Fire

Blaaz isn't super hard, but he's just SOOOOOOOOO LONG!!!  First you have to connect his three guys with the boomerang.  This may sound easy, but they keep moving around and you have to do it in a certain order.  And just to make things worse, you have to do it several more times!  That's about it though.


King Dodongo

Okay, I know what you're saying.  "King Dodongo was sooooooo easy!!!!"  Well, not for me!!  I must have run around for at least 30 minutes trying to figure out what to do, then running around some more after figuring out what I'm supposed and realizing how impossible the task was.  You have to throw a bomb in his mouth.  and you don't have the helpful little tragectory or rolling as in Skyward Sword.  I'm pretty sure that most of it was pure luck when I actually succeeded in getting the bomb in his mouth.

Koloktos

I'm probably just gonna rage about Koloktos here.  First you have to pull off four of his arms when he smashes the ground, all the while avoiding his 2 throwing blades.  After I had done this 3 times, I thought it was over.  Then he jumps out of ground, pulls out 6 swords, and creates 3 Cursed Boboklins!  The Boboklins aren't a problem, but the swords are.  You then have to pull off his arms, grab one of his swords, and slash at his chest.  After 3 rounds of that, he goes down.  His swords look really cool though, especially when you're holding it.

Big Octorok

Most Octoroks are easy, but this one isn't.  You are super tiny so he's not very easy.  You have to block his attacks until he freezes over, then burn the flower on his back.  This gets increasingly harder as he changes up his attacks.  He's not super hard, but he's hard enough to be on this list.

Scaldera

It's pretty easy to figure out how to beat Scaldera.  It's hard to execute, though.  It works pretty much like King Dodongo.  You roll bombs into him when he sucks up air or runs at you until he's stunned,  then slash his eye.  The problem is, fire and bombs don't mix.

Aw Yeah!

Finally!  I beat Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time!!!  Now I'm playing the Master Quest, as I have the 3D version.  It's very hard, though.  The Master Quest is a completely inverted version of the original, and the dungeons are revamped.  Ugh........................... It's gonna take some getting used to.

Minish Cap Day 5: Got My Head in the Clouds

Not much happened this round.  I got up into the clouds, but again I can't get the right Kinstones.  I've got 2 matches so far, so I'm making progress.  It might not be enough, but I'm about to find out.

Minish Cap Day 3 and 4: Too Many Items but Still Getting Exercise

Let's see, I got an Ocarina of Wind, a Lantern, Flippers, a Boomerang, a Bow, some bracelets that allow you to lift big things when you're Minish sized, another Bottle, and probably some other stuff.  I snuck into the castle to upgrade my sword, got some more Tiger Scrolls and Figurines, and still don't have enough Kinstones.  But we'll see if we can get more.

Minish Cap Day 2: Born to Run But Still Flippin Over

Finally got through the second temple, got the White Sword (which is pointless because you go straight to the sanctuary to infuse it.),  Also got the Cane of Pacci, which is the most useful item in the game, and got the Pegasus Boots.  And of course I don't have enough Kinstones!!!  And I don't have enough Rupees to get the Boomerang.  Well, I guess I'll just go feed Stockwell's dog.......................... who is super far away!!!!!!!!!!!!

Minish Cap Day 1: Blowin Around and Getting Stuck

So, I got through the beginning and the first temple (Yay, Gust Jar!), and got some bombs, but now I'm stuck on Mount Crenel.  I need to grow a plant with hot springs water, but here's the problem: I can't reach the hot springs!  So what do I do?  I look at the wiki that's always helped me: Strategy Wiki.  But there's another problem: the page I need has been deleted!!!!  So I'll try to find another walkthrough and play it some more.  We'll just have to see.

Minish Cap Prologue: A New Game And A New Idea

I just got Legend of Zelda Minish Cap, and I decided to do something new.  Every day I play Minish Cap, I will write about what happened.  I will title it with something interesting that happened.  So be ready!

Zelda Easiest Bosses

As I've been playing Zelda games, I've noticed that some of the bosses are extremely easy.  Of course this is coming from a gamer who's only had to fight 2 bosses twice in Zelda.  So here we go:

Fyrus

Fyrus is so easy.  All you have to do is shoot the crystal on his head with an arrow, then pull on his chain with the Iron Boots, then run over to his head and slash the crystal.  After that he turns back into the Goron Leader.  That's it.  I didn't lose a single heart fighting him.


Volvagia

No doubt about it: Volvagia is EASY!!!  All you have to do is bash her head in.  I had half a heart left and I survived.

Diababa

I don't remember a lot about this boss, but I do remember he was very overrated.  All you have to do is pretty much blow him up, then slash his tongue....... or whatever it is.

Zelda Rap

Gibdo's Mask

The Gibdo Mask is obtained after healing Pamela's father.  When wearing the mask, Gibdos and ReDeads won't attack you.  You can even talk to Gibdos, which is necessary for entering and exploring the Gibdo Well.  You can't talk to ReDeads, but you can make them dance.  This is one of the six masks required to beat the game.

Romani's Mask

The Romani's Mask is obtained by defending Cremia's Milk Wagon.  It allows you to enter the Milk Bar.  It's necessary to obtain, as it gives you access to many special items.

Couple's Mask, Sun's Mask, and the Moon's Mask

I deciced to do these three masks because they are connected.  So here they are:

Sun Mask

The Sun's Mask is one of the unobtainable masks of the game.  It is made by Kafei and is part of the Couple's Mask.  Sakon the thief steals it, so that is why Link and Kafei go to his hideout.


Moon's Mask

 The Moon's Mask is also an unobtainable mask.  It is created by Anju, and is part of the Couple's Mask. 

Couple's Mask

The Couple's mask is actually an obtainable mask, but it has no use.  It is obtained after completing the Reuniting Anju and Kafei side quest, along with a Piece of Heart.

Don Gero's Mask

The Don Gero's mask is obtained after feeding a hungry Goron.  He will give you the Don Gero's Mask.  The mask lets you talk to frogs to let them know that the Frog Choir is getting back together.  If you get all the frogs you will get a Piece of Heart, but you can only receive it after returning spring to Snowhead.

Captain's Hat

The Captain's Hat is obtained after awakening and defeating Skull Keeta.  He will then show you a Chest that contains the Captain's Hat.
The Captain's Hat makes everyone think you are Captain Keeta, so Stalchildren won't attack you. You can even command them to do your bidding.  This mask is one of the few non-transformation masks required to beat the game, as you need it to enter the grave where you learn the Song of Storms.

If you wear the mask right before you battle King Igos du Ikana, he will think you are Captain Keeta, and a short cut scene will occur before the battle.

Skyward Sword: The Hardest Zelda Game?

I have begun to believe that Skyward Sword is the hardest Zelda game.  You may not think this is true, but listen to my reasoning:

Scaldera

I consider myself to be a great Zelda gamer.  In fact, I have never had to fight a boss twice.  That is until I met Scaldera.  Scaldera is a big, fiery, rocky beast that is extremely hard to fight.  It requires a lot of tricky work with bombs.  I will tell more about him later.

Silent Realms

Silent Realms are HARD!!!!!!  You have to run around and collect sixteen tears, all the while avoiding not getting a tear in 90 seconds, stepping on Waking Water, and being spotted by ghosts, all of which awakening the Guardians, who can knock you out with one hit, and the only thing you have on your side are these plants that make the tears light up like beacons.  You can also collect Dusk Relics, which can upgrade your gear.

Kafei's Mask

Kafei's Mask is obtained from Madame Aroma after accepting her assignment.  You must make sure to do it on the First Day or you won't be able to get it.  It allows you to find more information on Kafei.  It is necessary to start the reuniting Anju and Kafei quest.  One Gossip Stone says that Madame Aroma handmade the mask.  This is one of the 4 duplicated masks, because Anju has it.

All-Night Mask

This mask is purchased from the Curiosity Shop for 500 Rupees.  It allows the user to not fall asleep.  It's creators are unknown, but it was apparently a torture device for insomnia.
It's only use is if Link wears the mask while listening to Anju's Grandmother's stories, he won't fall asleep, so he can answer her first question right.  If he does she will award him with a Piece of Heart.  Also, if Link answers "I dunno" to her second question, she will give him another Piece of Heart.

Three Masks in One!

Since I haven't posted any masks in a while so now I am going to do 3!!!  So here they are:


Kamaro's Mask

This mask is obtained after playing the Song of Healing for Kamaro.  The Mask allows you to do Kamaro's dance.  The only use for the mask is if you do the dance in front of the Rosa Sisters, theyn will give you a piece of heart



Mask of Truth

This mask is obtained after completing the Swamp Spider House.  It allows you to read animal's thoughts, which is useless except to find out which dog wins the Doggy Race.  It also allows you to talk to Gossip Stones.  A weird fact: the Gossip Stones tell you clues on how to get the Mask of Truth.  It would be useful except you need the Mask of Truth to talk to the Gossip Stones.


Mask of Scents

The Mask of Scents is obtained after keeping up with the Deku Butler in a race.  It allows you to find Magic Mushrooms.  Link also snorts and grunts like a pig when he swings his sword.

Add-On Character Bio

I was looking at the Link's Helpers post a few days ago, and I realized that Fi was missing!!!  So here's her bio:

Fi is the Spirit of the Goddess Sword and becomes Link's servant when he draws the Goddess Sword.  He/She (gender is not specified but I will call her a she) seems to show no emotion, often speaking in percentages, but finally shows some emotion when Link says goodbye.  She can give you some advice though it is not always helpful.  Fi can also translate messages from the Goddess Hylia, dancing as she does so, and when you get the Goddess Harp she will dance when you play it.  Fi is the opposite form of Girahim.  When you have the Goddess Sword you can use an ability called Dowsing.  Dowsing allows you to search for a variety of objects or people, from Zelda to Key Pieces to Hearts when your health bar gets low.

Circus Leader's Mask

The Circus Leader's Mask is obtained after playing the songs in all 4 forms for Toto.  Gorman is moved by it, so he gives you the Circus Leader's Mask.
This Mask saps out the Gorman Brother's desire to be rude.  This would help you defend Cremia's milk wagon, as the Gorman Brothers won't attack you, except you need the Romani's Mask to get the Circus Leader's Mask.
The Circus Leader's Mask is one of the 4 Dynamic Masks, because it moves as Link moves.

Great Fairy Mask

The Great Fairy Mask is obtained after bringing the Stray Fairy to the Great Fairy in North Clock Town.  The Skull Kid separated her into Stray Fairies and you must bring her the last one.
This mask allows you to find Stray Fairies more easily.  The hair will shimmer if there is a Stray Fairy in the room.  This is also one of the 4 Dynamic Masks, because it moves when Link moves.

Garo's Mask

The Garo's Mask is obtained by challenging and beating the Gorman Brothers in a horse race for 10 Rupees. 
It allows you to enter Ikana Canyon and fight Garo Ninjas.  It is also one of the 5 duplicated masks, as  both the Gorman Brothers have one.

How to get the Biggoron's Sword and still be at the Entrance to the Fire Temple as Adult Link

Since I finally got the Biggoron's Sword in Ocarina of Time, I decided to give detailed instructions on how to get it.  I haven't been doing other posts because I have been working on this post.  So here we go:


Biggoron's Sword Trading Sequence

The only requirements are: you must be Adult Link, have Epona, have unfrozen King Zora (go to the Ice Cavern and get Blue Fire or buy it at the Potion Shop), and have opened the way to the Great Fairy Cave on Death Mountain.  DO NOT BUY THE GIANT'S KNIFE, I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY THE GIANT'S KNIFE, IT SUCKS LIKE CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!  Also, you cannot warp when doing the time missions.

Start of guide

Alright, first you need to go to Kakariko Village and find Anju.  She will give you the Pocket Cucco Egg.  Head over to the Head Carpenter's House (turn left if you're stand beside the cucco pen), and take it out in front of Talon.  It will wake him up.  Take the Cucco over to Anju, and she will give you the Cojiro.

Make your way to the Lost Woods, and go to where the one Skull Kid is playing his Flute, and you will see a guy sitting with his head down.  Show him the Cojiro, and he will give you the Odd Mushroom.  You have 3 minutes to get it to the Old Hag in Kakariko Village.  When you get to Kakariko Village, go up the stairs by the Windmill and look down into the little area that's blocked by high fences.  The Old Hag lives inside the door in that area.  She will give you the Odd Poultice.

Go back to where you met the guy who gave you the Odd Mushroom, and Fado will be there.  She says the guy ran off,  and when you show her the Poultice, she will give you the Poacher's Saw.

Bring the Poacher's Saw to the Head Carpenter in Gerudo Valley (don't worry, Epona can jump over the broken bridge.  If you have the Longshot, you can use it too.), and he will give you the Broken Goron's Sword.

Take the Broken Goron's Sword up to Biggoron.  Biggoron is where the Great Fairy Cave on Death Mountain is.  Go up there, facing the 2 caves, and turn right and go all the way that way.  Biggoron will be there.  Give him the Broken Sword, And he will give you a Prescription for eye drops because his eyes are irritated.

Take the Prescription to King Zora (this is why you needed him to be unfrozen), and he will give you the Eyeball Frog.

You have 3 minutes to get over to the Lake Hylia Scientist.  If you do, he will give you the World's Finest Eye Drops.

You have 4 minutes to take the Eye Drops over to Biggoron.  He will begin to work on the sword, and gives you a Claim Check.  Biggoron tells you to come back in 3 days.

If you come back in 3 days (or play the Sun's Song 6 times), Biggoron will give you the Biggoron's Sword.

The Biggoron's Sword is the most powerful weapon in the game.  It is very helpful in the final battle against Ganondorf, even though only the Master Sword can deliver the finishing blow.
